Notice of Zoning Text Amendment Public Hearing, July 13, 2023

The public will take notice that the City of Southport Board of Aldermen has called a Public Hearing at 6:00p.m. on July 13, 2023, at the Southport Community Building located at 223 E. Bay Street.

The Public Hearing is to discuss and hear from the public regarding a proposed Zoning Text Amendment to the City of Southport Unified Development Ordinance. The amendment seeks to revise Section 2.11 ‘Conditional Rezoning’ to provide more flexibility in the application process, clarifications to the existing process to allow more public input, and amendments to Appendix A.
A copy of the proposed amendments may be found in the City of Southport Development Services Department offices.
