Southport will be celebrating Arbor Day on Friday, April 30th! Members of the Forestry Committee have put together a nice informational program for you to enjoy online here on the website, FB, or YouTube. Think about planting your own tree to celebrate!

All Third Tuesday Evening programs are free and open to the public; however, donations are happily accepted. Lectures are held at the Southport Community Building at 223 E. Bay St. at 7:00 pm unless otherwise noted. Please contact the museum for more information or to register 910-477-5151. Lectures are geared for 16 years and older. Seating is limited, so registration is required!

The Bald Head Island Transportation Authority meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9:15 am in the Southport Community Building.

The 3rd Annual Southport Day of Service highlights Southport’s selfless volunteer spirit.  This year, the City of Southport Beautification Committee is partnering with Trinity United Methodist Church, the Southport Oak Island Interchurch Fellowship, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  Everyone is invited to participate!

Southport citizens have a lot of pride in their town, and with an all-out community effort, the possibilities for success are limitless. The Citywide event begins 8 a.m.  Location and projects will be assigned upon completion of registration.  Beverages and lunch will be offered to all helpers.
