The Friends of the Library-Southport and Oak Island (FOLSOI) are excited to announce a special book sale featuring thousands volumes of adult fiction, poetry, and memoirs from a book collector’s significant donation. Many of these are signed by the authors, and some are first printings and first editions. Funds generated from the sale of these books will greatly benefit our local libraries. This special one-day book sale will take place Saturday, May 18 (rain date Sunday May 19) from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm in the parking lot of Southport Realty, located at 727 N Howe St. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. There will be a second Signature Book Sale in the Fall (date tbd) for the remainder of the collection. This is a rare opportunity for collectors and readers alike to procure quality books in excellent condition at very reasonable prices.
