Voting begins Friday, December 5
The Winterfest Committee invites local businesses to participate in the 5th Annual Storefront Showcase! This holiday decorating contest has very few specific guidelines. The only stipulation is to use what space you have available outside or in the window of your business. You can use any materials that you would like. There is no charge to participate, except what you use to decorate. Any business or home within the City limits is eligible to participate.
Registrations are due no later than December 1, and we ask you to have your decorations up by December 4, 2025. Then, Friday, December 5 to Sunday, December 14, visitors and residents of Southport can follow the Showcase Map that will be available below to visit each store and cast votes on each of the 5 categories:
- Most Community Spirit
- Most Festive
- Best Classic Christmas
- Biggest Surprise (Wow! Factor)
- Best Overall
Voting participants may vote more than once per category. On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, winners will be announced in each category. Certificates will be awarded for Best Overall.
Please note: any indication or suspicion of cheating, either by a contestant or on their behalf, will result in disqualification from the competition.
