CITY OF SOUTHPORT EMPLOYMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Three (3) Fulltime Public Services Technicians
Salary: $29,880
Closing Date: November 16, 2018
The City of Southport is seeking to hire three (3) fulltime candidates in the Utility Department. The positions will assist in all areas of operations and maintenance of water and sewer system.
Experience and knowledge of water & sewer systems, experience in operating various equipment including a backhoe, and the ability to enter confined spaces. Must obtain Water & Sewer Certification within twelve (12) months of employment, and be available for on-call for some nights and weekends. Potential candidates must have the following:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
