The Sisters of Southport is a group of women from Southport and Oak Island that wants to feed their souls by helping our community when and where they can. Please consider joining your neighbors to witness this end-of-the-day ceremony that honors the American flag.

Dee Crocker saw her vision implemented in 2015 and since then, the Sisters have completed projects such as:

  • Preparing breakfast and lunches for the police department, public safety, and Southport elementary teachers
  • Painting rooms at the Park and Recreation building, benches for SOAR, stepping stones for Hope Harbor Home
  • Providing special treats for shut-ins, and Easter baskets to residents of Southport Health and Rehabilitation Center
  • Helping with Military Appreciation Day, raising flags at Waterfront Park, staffing CIS Princess Ball, and many others

If you are interested in joining and helping when your schedule allows, please contact Sharon Lightbourne at [email protected]
