April 6th BOA Special Meeting and Public Workshop: Southport Street Light Policy
The Southport Board of Aldermen have scheduled a community workshop meeting on April 6, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Building located at 223 E. Bay Street, Southport.
The purpose of the meeting is to review the proposed street light policy, answer questions and provide the opportunity for residents to share feedback.
The demonstration street light fixtures have been installed on Soft Wind Way. The test lights are labeled A, B, C, and D and are the first four street lights on Soft Wind Way off of Stuart Avenue, in the Hammocks neighborhood.
Based on previous public input, the demonstration includes lights featuring three different color temperatures. 4000 Kelvin, 3000 Kelvin, and 2700 Kelvin.
Citizens are invited to observe the test lights, review the proposed policy and attend the Special Board of Alderman Community Workshop Meeting on April 6, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Building. Citizen input is important!
