November 12, 2020 Board of Alderman Meeting

The public will take notice that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Southport has called a public hearing at 6:00 pm on November 12, 2020, at the Southport Community Building, 223 E. Bay Street, Southport, North Carolina, on the question of annexing the following described territory requested by petition filed pursuant to G. S. 160A-31:

BEING all of the property known as Lot 17 of Block 9 of the Southport Heights Subdivision. Approximately 6,119 sf.

At the public hearing, all persons resident or owning property in said territory and all residents of the City of Southport will be given an opportunity to ask questions and receive answers regarding the proposed annexation, and at the public hearing, all such persons will be given an opportunity to be heard.

RZ 20-0909-01
BD to R-10

A zoning map amendment for a .46 acre tract in the ETJ at 116 E. 13th St. The property is on the corner of E 13th and Atlantic Ave. The Tax Parcel ID # of the property is 221MB01801. The applicants are requesting that the property be amended on the zoning map from Business District to Single Family Residential. Public Notice Zoning Map Amendment

The City of Southport Board of Aldermen meet once a month on the second Thursday of every month.  The meeting is held in the Southport Community Building, 223 E. Bay Street at 6 p.m.

Meetings are open to the public.

An agenda packet is available for public viewing on the Monday before the Board of Aldermen meeting.  The packets are located at the City Clerk’s office in City Hall and at the Harper Library.
