The City of Southport is seeking applicants for appointment on the Forestry Committee. There are several positions available. The appointments are for a two-year term and will be approved by the Board of Aldermen. Applications will be accepted until filled.

The Forestry Committee works to preserve the beautiful tree canopies of Southport by education and helping to create policies and ordinances. Southport is one of only 81 communities in North Carolina with the Tree City USA designation.
