Board of Aldermen of the City of Southport have scheduled a Special Closed Session Meeting for Monday, October 10th, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at the Nash Street Fire Department Substation, located at 111 E. Nash Street.
The Board of Aldermen will be meeting to interview and discuss the appointment of an Interim City Manager.
This meeting will not be open to the public based on N.C.G.S.143-318.11 a.(6):
To consider the qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial appointment of an individual public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee, etc.
Final action making an appointment or discharge or removal by a public body having final authority for the appointment or discharge, or removal shall be taken in an open meeting.
