City of Southport Request for Qualifications: Information Technology System Assessment Services
The City of Southport (“Southport”) (http:/www.cityofsouthport.com) seeks professional consulting services from qualified firms, licensed to do business in North Carolina, to complete an assessment and inventory of the City’s Information Technology (“IT”) System and will provide recommendations and action steps to move toward IT improvements and efficiencies.
The City of Southport, a coastal North Carolina community of approximately 4000, has historically met its IT needs through outsourcing to consultant(s). Prior to soliciting competitive proposals for continued outsourcing of IT Managed Services, the City is seeking proposals for an IT Assessment (“Assessment”), in order to develop a long-term technology road map and serve as the basis for an RFQ for outsourced IT Managed Services. The Assessment is expected to include a comprehensive audit and assessment of Southport’s IT systems, applications, security, policies, procedures, and personnel. The assessment should include Discovery Services, Critical Analysis, and Recommendations with Action Steps.
