Southport is Ready to Welcome YOU!

The Ft. Johnston – Southport Museum and Visitors’ Center is re-opening on Tuesday, June 1st!

If you are visiting Southport, our wonderful volunteers will be ready to help you with area maps and brochures, and are happy to answer questions about your visit!

The Southport Historical Society runs the gift shop, which is full of great Southport wearables, souvenirs, and historical books to remember your trip by.

If you’re a resident, the museum is a fantastic place to bring your out-of-town guests. If you haven’t been to see us in a while, you may want to stop by and check out the cool exhibits!

Located at 203 E. Bay Street, the Visitors’ Center is right on the beautiful Southport waterfront overlooking the Cape Fear River. Come visit, and then sit a spell on the lawn.
