Drive-Through School Supply Drive

August 4 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Dosher to Host Drive-Through School Supply Drive on August 4th

Donations are for the benefit of students served by Communities In Schools of Brunswick County

The second annual “Operation School Supplies” at Dosher Memorial Hospital is scheduled for Thursday, August 4, between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Local residents are invited to drop off new school supplies at the hospital front entrance, which will be donated to benefit students served by Communities In Schools of Brunswick County. Participants will be able to “drive-through and drop off” donations without having to leave their cars.

This event will be held in conjunction with the Communities In Schools annual Back to School Supply Drive which takes place each August, where collection boxes can be found at their thrift shops.  Dosher looks forward to hosting an alternative location for this event, with the convenience of a drive-through arrangement.  The school supplies enable every student to prepare for the school year by having the tools they need to succeed.

  • Crayons
  • Loose-leaf paper – college ruled

Services are provided through individualized Student Support Plans that include academic tutoring, social-emotional learning, mentoring, behavioral interventions, school attendance interventions, and basic needs (clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, winter coats).
